I believe that your email regarding the Edison Nation project is missing an important piece of information. They are not just seeking a "licensing agreement" with inventors. If you read the fine print you will discover that by submitting a product idea you are completely giving up the rights to your invention (Exhibit A, section 1A). That is far beyond a licensing agreement. I don't have a problem with granting an exclusive license to Edison Nation, but I certainly have a problem with handing over all of my rights. They don't need to own my idea in order to make money on it. In my view that provision makes this Edison Nation venture not only suspect, but unacceptable. Although each inventor can certainly make up their own mind on giving away the rights to their invention, I just wanted to bring this clarification to your attention.
